As part of the Foundation's structure, the Supervisory Board assists in overseeing the operations of the Foundation by issuing and enforcing the appropriate programme and project decisions and offering ideas for improvements to the Foundation's performance.

• Andrei Chertok

  Andrei graduated from the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics at Lomonosov Moscow State University.

  He became a junior research associate in 2014 and has been a Candidate of Physics and Mathematics since 2015. Andrei's thesis was in Bid Flow Modelling in Financial Markets with the Aid of Generalised Market Processes.

  He currently serves as Executive Director/CEO of the Data Centre at Sberbank.

  

• Andrei Kalinin

  Andrei graduated from Moscow Aviation Institute, specializing in Applied Mathematics. Now he teaches data retrieval and natural language text processing courses at his alma mater.

  Kalinin started his career at Rambler&Co as a leading programmer.

   

  He joined Mail.ru Group in 2010 as the Head of Quality for the Search Project. In 2019, he was appointed AI Technologies Director.

   

  Andrei is responsible for the strategic development of AI and search, voice-activated assistance, the recommendation system, the Atom browser, the Answers project and other search products.

   

  He has vast experience in system development and natural language text processing. He participated in developing the first Russian spam filter, Kaspersky Anti-Spam.

  

• Alexander Krainov

  Alexander graduated from the Moscow Institute of Radio Engineering, Electronics and Automation.

  His first place of work was the Supermatrix temporary research team, where he was in charge of the machine design of superconducting matrix topologies.

  Alexander later worked at SeeStorm, a subsidiary of SPIRITDSP, as Product Director. His areas of responsibility were audio and video compression and transmission algorithms, speech recognition, videoconferencing technology, computer vision, and 3D modelling.

  He directed the development of computer vision products and algorithms at Yandex for nine years.

  Alexander currently heads the Machine Intelligence Lab at Yandex. He is in charge of the Pilot Products and AI Technologies Sector.
