New Study Program in Artificial Intelligence at the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics

The Intellect Foundation is organizing a new Study Program in Artificial Intelligence to be offered by the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics  of Lomonosov Moscow State University.

The idea of the new program is to train qualified specialists in the desktop and practical use of artificial intelligence in many different career fields the students will go on to pursue.

Students are invited to benefit from a combination of hands-on expertise, vast experience, and fundamental insights of some of the leading professors and lecturers in the field.

The program begins with an introductory course that leads to students on the course picking their individual study trajectory, depending on their choice of department and major. The program offers a broad spectrum of courses to choose from, all involving independent practical assignments.

The highest achievers on the artificial intelligence program will receive personal certificates with their names on them.

The student has to fulfill a range of requirements to qualify for a name-certificate:

1. Complete a set of required courses in artificial intelligence, namely:  
   • Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (one semester);
   • Machine Learning (academic year);
2. Complete a number of elective courses of the student's choosing (four semester-long courses for BA holders, six semester-long courses for MA holders) from the list of certified courses;
3. Complete graduate research or an applied project in artificial intelligence (Bachelor's graduate course paper or Master's thesis).

Students will receive support and incentives for their research on a competitive basis in the form of personal scholarships, sponsorship of conference presentations, and rewards for best graduate papers./p>
